Why We Transitioned To A Vegan Diet

I never thought I would go vegan. I was a meat loving girl from the south. When I got pregnant with Lola and started researching the best ways/practices to stay healthy, I learned that your diet plays a huge role in your quality of life. Hmm, so a bad diet leads to disease? It made sense, but I never thought about it! In black families, you constantly see loved ones dying of heart attacks, struggling with diabetes, high cholesterol, etc. We are taught to believe disease is passed down, but the truth is bad food habits are passed down that leads to disease. We have to do better and stop blaming our health problems on the devil. We can’t eat fried chicken and pork all the time and then say that the devil is busy because you are sick. Well, the devil may be busy keeping you ignorant, but we eat directly affects a lot of the problems we have. I understand many people probably never heard of what a plant-based diet can do for them which is why I’m here to spread awareness of living a healthier lifestyle.   Here are more benefits I experienced in adopting a vegan plant-based diet:

CLEARER SKIN

MORE ENERGY/CLARITY

LESS PAINFUL MENSTRUAL

WEIGHT LOSS

BETTER DIGESTION

MORE STAMINA WHEN WORKING OUT

BETTER HAIR

RARELY EVER SICK

AND SO MUCH MORE!

If we can do it, anyone can do it! We had a motivation behind our decision. Find yours!
